WEST GRIMSTEAD ROLLS OF HONOUR

 

                   If you take a look at the village War Memorial you will see that there are five names of soldiers who died in the Great War who are commemorated,                   three are remembered on both Rolls of Honour. The other two soldiers killed in action and remembered on the village war memorial are:

 HARRY BUNDY and FREDERICK LIGHT

The Chapel Roll of Honour was sited in the porch of the Methodist Chapel in West Grimstead but with the closure of the Chapel in September 2009, this has been removed for safe keeping.

Here you will see 26 names of men who served in the Great War of 1914-1918. Three of the men were killed in action, two were wounded and two were taken prisoners of war.
